Over the latest updates from the NBA, the Rockets have defeated the Dallas Mavericks 128-121 at Toyota Center in Houston.
The Rockets took the opening quarter 35-28 and despite their loss in the next quarter with 2 points, they went to their locker room with a 65-60 advantage. The hosts piled on the pressure after the break and bagged the 3rd quarter 36-25.
In the final quarter, the Mavericks made a comeback and finished it 36-27 in their favor which was not enough and the Rockets earned their 30th victory of the season. James Harden and Russell Westbrook collected nearly half of the total points for Houston as they bagged 35 and 32 respectively.
Meanwhile, the defending Champions, the Toronto Raptors edged past the Pistons 105-92 in Detroit on Friday night. The Raptors finished the 3rd quarter 78 to 69 in their favor.
They took the momentum into the final quarter to take it 27-23 to extend their winning streak to 10 matches. The Raptors will welcome the Chicago Bulls on Saturday while the Pistons will take on the Nuggets.
