Palestinians gathered in the east of the blockaded Gaza Strip for the 80th consecutive Friday to demand the right of return to their ancestral homes.
They also called for an end to the illegal Israeli blockade on the enclave, which according to the United Nations amounts to collective punishment.
Israeli soldiers opened live fire on protesters once again. Palestinians, however, say Israel’s use of excessive force won’t stop them.
Protesters also accused some Arab regimes in the Persian Gulf region of stabbing Palestinians in the back.
Since March 30th 2018, Israeli forces have killed hundreds of Palestinian protesters and injured thousands in the Gaza Strip.
Millions of Palestinian refugees have been displaced and dispossessed since 1948 upon the creation of the Israeli regime on occupied Palestinian land. Some 1.3 million Gazans are Palestinian refugees.
People in Gaza say international community has failed to take any concrete measure to stop the use of excessive force by the Israeli regime against peaceful demonstrators.
Eighty weeks on, Palestinians participating in anti-occupation demonstrations say they will press ahead with their peaceful rallies until all of their demands are met.
