The Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas has pledged to bomb Israeli cities should the regime attacks the blockaded Gaza Strip. Hamas leader in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar, said that next time Israeli forces made an incursion into the Gaza Strip, the resistance movement would defeat them overwhelmingly.
Sinwar also praised the August 1 operation in the southern Gaza Strip, where Palestinian man Hani Abu Sallah was killed and three Israeli soldiers wounded in an exchange of fire, as a heroic commando one.
He made the statement after Benny Gantz, a candidate for Israeli prime minister threatens war against Hamas during a tour of Gaza border days ago. The Hamas leader underlined that Palestinians doesn’t want another round of fighting but the resistance movement fighters are gathering strength to cope with any new attack.
Analysts maintain that there is no end to the outrage of Palestinians who have been oppressed by the Israeli forces over the past decades.
Israel has also launched several wars on the Palestinian coastal sliver, the last of which began in early July 2014. The military aggression, which ended on August 26, 2014, killed nearly 2,200 Palestinians. Over 11,100 others were also wounded in the war.
The Gaza Strip has been under a crippling siege since 2007 and has witnessed three wars since 2008. The Tel Aviv regime carries out regular attacks on the coastal enclave under the pretext of hitting positions belonging to Hamas.
