Real Madrid knocked out of Champions League by Ajax after dramatic defeat

Defending champions Real Madrid have knocked out from UEFA Champions League after suffering a 5-3 defeat on aggregate against Dutch club Ajax at Santiago Bernabeu.

Ajax dominated the match and they opened the scoring after Hakim Ziyech tucked the ball from inside the box 8 minutes into the match.

Neraly 10 minutes later David Neres doubled the lead for visitors. The Dutch side kept the momentum after the break and Dushan Tadich made it 3-nil with an unstoppable shot in the 62nd minute.

Marco Asensio then scored the consolation goal for Los Blancos with 20 minutes remaining. However, 2 minutes later Ajax midfielder Lasse Sch-one scored with a spectacular freekick to seal the deal for his side and knock out Los Blancos out of the tournament.
