Everton fought back from a goal down to win 3-1 against Swansea City at Goodison Park.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 35th minute when Leroy Fer was left unmarked on a corner to score his first premier league goal of the season. But just before the break, Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin took advantage of a rebound from Wayne Rooney's saved penalty to restore parity for the Toffees.

In the 64th minute, Rooney was given time and space to spread the play to Gylfi Sigurdsson, who finished with an unstoppable long-range strike into the top-right corner. With 17 minutes remaining on the clock, Rooney scored with his second penalty attempt of the evening.

Everton have now taken 13 points from five Premier League matches, while Swansea City remain rooted to the bottom of the table after suffering their sixth straight away loss.
