The cholera epidemic in Yemen is a “direct outgrowth” of Saudi Arabia’s war, in which the US military plays a direct role by providing reconnaissance and logistical support to the Saudi fighter jets bombing the impoverished Arab nation.
“It is part of the calculated targeting of water, sanitation, sewage by the Saudi bombers that make every effort to target civilian infrastructure. So in every sense this is a crime being committed, the whole world sees it… and it is continuing every day and especially from here in the US, I want to condemn the US role because the naval blockade is a US blockade and the fueling and satellite reconnaissance and actually enabling these jet aircraft to fly is entirely carried out by the United States military,” Sara Flounders, the co-director of the International Action Center, told Press TV in an interview on Friday.
