Rouhani takes campaign to Urmia

Incumbent President Hassan Rouhani, who is running for a second four-year term in office in the May 19 election, visited the northeastern city of Urmia, the capital of West Azerbaijan Province, on Sunday. Addressing thousands of his supporters, he spoke about his government’s efforts to revive Lake Urmia as well as plans to create more jobs, boost exports and expand the local railway network.
