Iranian male and female Paralympic archers have exhibited praiseworthy performances at the 9th edition of Fazza International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Athletics Grand Prix Competition in the United Arab Emirates, and picked up six medals.
On Monday, Iranian visually-challenged shot putter Amir Rahmati vied in the men’s B2/B3 competitions at the Dubai Club for the Disabled in Dubai, and snatched a gold medal for the Islamic Republic.
Saman Pakbaz, another Iranian representative, managed to earn silver in this classification.
Additionally, Hajar Safarzadeh got the bronze medal in the women’s B2 200-meter dash.
Ali Najmi, Mohammad Mashhadian Khouzani and Vahid Ali Najmi also bagged the bronze in men’s B2 200-meter, B2 200-meter and B2 800-meter events.
The 9th edition of Fazza International IPC Athletics Grand Prix Competition opened in Dubai, the UAE, on March 17, and will conclude on March 24, 2017.
