Unemployment soars in France

French officials say they have launched several measures to create jobs, but the soaring unemployment rates contradict the claims. Official unemployment figures say the number of job seekers is consistently on the rise. This comes as the French President Francois Hollande has announced that he won't run for president again if the unemployment rates do not fall by the end of his first term.
