US police arrest teenage boy for killing four in Ohio

Columbus police said Sunday they have arrested a 16-year-old boy in the four deaths in Ohio.

US police have arrested a teenage boy on charges of murder and kidnapping in connection with a fatal shooting of four people at a home in Ohio, while a second suspect walks free.

Columbus police said they have arrested Jordyn D. Wade, 16, on Sunday night.

The boy was charged with four delinquency counts of murder and five counts of kidnapping.

He is accused of killing four people in a South Linden home early Saturday.

The victims, Michael Ballour, 41, Daniel Sharp, 36, Angela D. Harrison, 35, and Tyajah Nelson, 18, were found after police arrived at the house in response to a report of a woman with blood on her body on the sidewalk.

They were discovered in different areas of the house. They also found a teenage girl injured outside the residence.

“It's a pretty ugly scene inside,” said Sergeant David Sicilian of the Columbus police homicide unit.

According to him, police have an idea of the motive behind the shooting, but he did not elaborate.

Police are seeking to arrest a second suspect in the murder case.

A research, published online early this month by the journal Pediatrics Study, indicated that more than one in four American children are exposed to gun violence before reaching the age of 18 either as a victim or a witness.
