In this edition of Comment, we ask: Which countries show unwillingness to fight ISIL?

ISIL, also known as ISIS and IS, control swathes of land in Syria and Iraq. The terror group has been carrying out horrific acts of violence including public decapitations and crucifixions against all communities such as Shias, Sunnis, Kurds and Christians.

The Iraqi army and volunteer forces have been engaged in joint operations to liberate the areas under ISIL control ever since.

The ISIL terrorists, who were initially trained by the CIA in Jordan in 2012 to destabilize the Syrian government, are engaged in crimes against humanity in the areas under their control.
