Rising number of cancer cases in Iran

Cancer is a prevalent disease worldwide. There was approximately 14.1 million new cases of cancer In 2012.

According to figures released by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) in 2012, 127 Iranians out of a hundred thousand are diagnosed with cancer each year.

The number of cancer cases in Iran is on the low side compared to the global average of 185 per every hundred thousand.
